Responsible for researching, recommending and implementing appropriate storage of Society records and awards.

Responsible for providing an independent audit of Society's financial records to ensure internal control and to submit a report to the President and Board.

Responsible for researching, planning and implementing projects or events where members of the Society can volunteer in community programs.

Responsible for coordinating all education activities of the Society including the Mentoring program. and the Scholarship Program.

Responsible for preparing and maintaining budget, bank accounts, approving expenses and treasury. The Treasurer serves as chair.

Membership Committee: Karen O'Keefe (212) 576-7263
Responsible for managing society membership efforts. Plans and organizes the recognition of new FLMIs.

Nominating Committee: Claudine Jessamy (914) 846-3863
Responsible for soliciting recommendations for nominees for all offices and verifying the eligibility and qualifications of all persons under consideration. The President appoints no fewer than three members to serve with one member assigned the Chair.

Program Committee: Elaine Rogers (914) 846-3527
Responsible for coordinating Society meetings and programs. The committee plans, develops, implements and evaluates meetings and programs. The Society Vice President serves as chair.

Public Relations & Communications Committee: Emily Feldman (732) 326-4192
Responsible for coordinating all society communications including public relations efforts and Newsletter. Serves as liaison between the Society, other societies and LOMA. The Secretary serves as chair.

Responsible for overall monitoring of all Society programs to ensure long-term compliance with Objectives, By-laws and LOMA policies.

Responsible for coordinating, reviewing and recommending all technological aspects of the operations of the Society. This includes databases, websites, technical equipment, etc. Webmaster: Dave Lumerman.

NOTES:

• All Board members must be active on at least one committee.
• Committee members need not be Society Board members.
• Committee chairs submit a report at the monthly Board meetings.
• The Society President sits on all the committees as an ex-officio member.
